Snow Paw UK uses cookies and similar browser storage to operate this Shopify store. Optional analytics helps us understand how people find and use the store. Optional marketing tools help measure advertising.
This page describes the native Shopify storefront. Storage used by the previous React website may remain in your browser until cleared; the native theme does not reuse its customer-session tokens or browser basket.
2. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Local storage keeps selected information on the same device. Both can remember choices between visits. Their availability and duration depend on the service, your consent choices and your browser settings.
3. Your consent choices
Essential technologies support functions you request, such as your basket, secure checkout, sign-in and cookie preferences. Optional analytics and marketing are controlled through Shopify’s cookie preferences.
You can accept or decline optional categories independently. A service may also process limited data without optional cookies under its own consent-mode settings; declining optional cookies does not necessarily prevent all network requests.

The cards below explain the native store’s technologies. Services marked planned are disclosed in advance and are not installed by this theme unless separately configured. Names and lifetimes can change when providers update their services.
Essential
Shopify store, basket and secure accounts
Shopify handles basket contents, storefront security, localisation, checkout and hosted customer accounts. These functions use Shopify cookies; the native theme does not store customer access tokens in local storage.

Examples: cart, cart_currency, secure_customer_sig, localization and Shopify checkout/session cookies.
Duration
Session cookies and persistent cookies, depending on the function; Shopify and browser settings determine expiry.
Your choice
Needed to provide requested store functions. Blocking them can affect basket, sign-in or checkout.
Essential
Your privacy preferences
Shopify remembers your selected consent categories and makes them available to connected pixels. The cookie-settings control opens Shopify’s preferences.
Names / storage
Shopify consent cookies, including _tracking_consent where used.
Duration
Until expiry, a preference update or browser storage is cleared.

Your choices can be updated at any time.
Requested feature
Your saved favourites
The theme saves product handles on this browser when you use favourites. It does not store your name, email or payment information in this list. Where available, previous browser favourites may be imported once.

Local storage: snowpaw-native-wishlist-v1. Legacy key: wishlist may be read for migration.
Duration
Until you remove favourites or clear browser storage.
Your choice
Used to remember products you choose to save; browser-local storage does not provide automatic cross-device synchronisation.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4
Our Google Analytics property is used to measure visits, product interest and the shopping journey, including basket and checkout events where available through Shopify. Google Analytics is separate from the payment processor.
Optional analytics storage follows your consent choices. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, postal addresses or payment details as analytics event parameters. Google Privacy Policy.

Duration
Typically up to 2 years for GA4 cookies; provider configuration and browser restrictions may shorten this.
Your choice
Optional analytics storage is controlled by your analytics preference. Connected Google advertising features also follow their applicable consent settings.
Marketing, where enabled
Connected marketing pixels
Shopify-connected advertising services may measure campaigns and conversions when configured. This theme does not add a second copy of existing advertising pixels. Exact providers depend on the merchant’s active Shopify integrations.

Provider-specific cookies, such as _fbp where Meta’s pixel is enabled.
Duration
Varies by connected provider and browser settings.

Optional marketing storage follows your marketing preference.
Analytics
Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity is connected through our Shopify integration to help us understand page interactions through heatmaps and session recordings. It can use cookies to connect page views and visits. Clarity masks input fields, and our custom event parameters exclude form values, search terms and contact details.
Optional Clarity cookies follow the analytics consent settings. Depending on Microsoft’s consent-mode configuration, limited measurement without cookies may continue when consent is declined. Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Examples: _clck and _clsk, plus other cookies documented by Microsoft for the selected configuration.
Duration
Microsoft lists _clck as 1 year and _clsk as 1 day; browser restrictions may shorten these.
Your choice
Optional analytics cookies are controlled through your analytics preference. Clarity may perform limited cookieless measurement under Microsoft’s consent mode.
5. Managing your preferences
Use the Manage cookie preferences button to change Shopify’s optional analytics and marketing choices. You can also delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser. Clearing browser storage removes locally saved favourites and can reset your basket or sign-in state.
Changing consent affects future collection. It does not automatically delete data already processed by a provider. Contact us if you have a question about your information.
